It's Gonna Be a Bright Sunshiny Day!

We're having a blast at the beach. We've really enjoyed being together and playing in the sun. A young family bought the house next door at the end of last summer and we've really enjoyed getting to know them. Their daughters are 7 and 3, so our children have had a lot of fun playing with them. I think this summer is going to be a little easier than the past two. Elle is still fearless of the water, but she's a little more sturdy when she's running into the ocean than in years past and I feel a little better with her out there jumping waves. You still have to be right on top of her, but she's a little easier to manage. She's also enjoying playing in the sand and is a little more independent. Her favorite thing is having a tea party on the beach. Elle's friend Anna gave her a princess tea set for her 2nd birthday and it's perfect for the beach. We have some other friends who have a house here who have 2 year old girls, too. Poor Hayden is the only boy! We're going to have to find him a friend! Well, more to come later...it's time to get back in the sun!!
