Wild Spring

A wild spring has followed an amazingly wild winter. I'll try my best to post pictures from both soon. We have been so busy lately and I'm not sure I can even tell you what all we've been doing. Josh is playing church league softball which has been a WONDERFUL outlet for him. He's been looking for something like this since we moved to Brooklet and I'm so glad he has it now. No matter how old we get, we still need opportunities to act like a kid. I get these opportunities all the time playing with my sweet little Elle. Josh gets them with Elle, too. But he works such long hours that he doesn't really get to spend the amount of time with her that I do. Anyway, these guys have been so excited about the chance to play ball again. Some of them haven't picked up a softball/baseball in 15 years. Needless to say, they aren't breaking any records this year! But they're having fun and that's all that matters, right? Along with the fun that they're having, we wives, children, and girlfriends have really enjoyed being the supporting fans. It's so much fun to be at the ballpark on nice afternoons and evenings cheering for our team. Elle loves saying, "Go Daddy Go!" She's so cute clapping her hands and cheering for the guys. When she's actually paying attention to the game, she wants to know who's Daddy is batting next. It's great!

We've also started a Friday play group with girls in our Sunday School class and our children. I've only been to one so far, but I'm so excited about this new adventure. Elle has really started enjoying the company of other children and it's so much fun to watch them play. It's also really nice to enjoy adult conversation with girls. It's very therapeutic and something I've been missing out on. I love my girlfriends so much and I miss the time and talks that I used to so take for granted. We always say that we're going to get together and we're going to be better about talking, but we're so caught up in our lives that we can't ever seem to get it together. I'm not giving up hope though!! Anway, this new Friday group is going to be as wonderful for the grown-ups as it is for the kids. I'll try to take pictures this Friday and post them.

I like play groups as much as Beatrice does. See, there is another reason we should be going to church in Brooklet. I miss Brooklet UMC! Hmm...maybe this will help me convince Brian.
