Frippin' Good Times!

This week and a half at Fripp has been just what the doctor ordered. Something about Fripp just forces you to slow down and take a look around, realizing all that you have to be grateful for. It has been so relaxing! Daily routines include waking up with the children, lounging around until we feel like having breakfast, making it to the beach by 10:30 or so, eating lunch on the beach, napping when the time is right, soaking up some rays, enjoying a few adult beverages, swimming in the neighborhood pool, eating dinner on the back porch with a bottle of wine or pitcher of margaritas and looking out over the marsh...pretty close to heaven if you ask me. Sure we've had our stressful moments. I mean it's really hard to understand why it takes us an hour to get ready to go to the beach. Surely we should have this down to an art by now, right? I guess when you throw 2 two year olds, a 7 year old, and 6 grown-ups in a 1400 square foot house, you kind of have to take turns in order to keep from stepping on one another! Anyway, overall it has been wonderful. Elle is napping now and every else has gone back out to the beach. I'm enjoying a little solitude which is nice. Well, I guess we have to go home tomorrow...back to reality. I can't wait until we make it back over for some more Frippin' Good Times!
