Resolutions

I've been thinking a lot about this lately, but as with everything else in my life...my thoughts are SCATTERED! I think 2010 is going to have to be a progressive year as far as resolutions go. I'm setting deadlines, but also have to be realistic about start times. So here goes:

*By the end of February, I want to have everything ready for our sweet new addition. The bedding for the nursery arrived yesterday and it's helping me get excited about decorating the nursery and preparing for the arrival of Hannah Grace. We still have to finish cleaning the room so that we can paint and have the carpet cleaned. After I get the nursery in order, I really need to think about supplies: bottles, clothes, gear, etc.

*After Hannah Grace comes, it will be time to start thinking about the dreaded SWIM SUIT. Granted I haven't been in "swim suit shape" for about 5 years now, I at least want to be comfortable enough to put one on by the end of May.

*Landscaping: since we've put in our pool, our back yard is in total need of a makeover. We need to do some serious landscaping. Along with that, we need to procure some porch and pool furniture.

*As my personal full year resolution, I want to work on my spiritual and mental health. I plan to stop stressing so much about the small things so that I can truly enjoy the time I spend with my family. Elle is almost 4. CRAZY! I feel like I've wasted a lot of good times with her being stressed out about sewing, cleaning, etc. I'm going to make a HUGE effort to stop being that person by spending more time in prayer, quitting the sewing business, and making time each day for a devotion. Maybe even sharing a devotion with Elle.

So there it is...2010 goals laid out and underway. I'm sure more goals will be established as the year progresses, but I'm excited about the core 4. Happy 2010!
