Happy Fall!

I love Fall! Football, cool weather, colorful changes all around...it's the only time of year I appreciate orange! You Georgia fans know what I mean! We went to our first game of the year this past weekend. Although it was a heart breaker, we had a great time. Elle went with us, which made the whole experience wonderful! She's tailgated with us a few times, but we've never taken her into a game. I have to admit I was a little worried when she asked if we could go back to the hotel 3 minutes into the first quarter. But, she hung in there and had a really good time. It was great seeing the little smirk on her face when everyone was winding up for kick-off with "Goooooooo Dawgs! Sic Em! Woof! Woof! Woof! Woof!" She barked louder than any of us:) I think we might make a bulldog out of her! On the way home, we were in awe driving through the fields and fields of sunflowers. They were beautiful. The picture above is inspired by our drive, but unfortunately not a "Holly original." I am not a great photographer, but would love to be...maybe in my next life!

Our year has been pretty full so far. Elle is in gymnastics and dance. She loves both of them. When I first signed her up, I thought I'd see which one she liked most and drop one. Well of course she LOVES both, so we're still doing dance on Tuesdays and gymnastics on Thursdays. I'm very impressed with her dance class. She's learning so much and even teaching me a few things about ballet. She knows several of the steps and the proper terms for them. I can't wait to see their January recital. They are performing the Faith in Motion show with Christian bands. I'm not too familiar with the event, but I love the idea of her intertwining dance and faith promotion! More to come later...

Oldie, but goodie! Isn't she sweet!

Elle's class at school is reading Charlotte's Web and planning to dress as the characters from the book for their Halloween party. The kids all got to choose which character they wanted to be. Elle is the only one in her class who chose to be Charlotte. I'm thrilled with her choice! She told me, "Mommy, I'm going to be Charlotte because I'm the only one in my class who wanted to be beautiful." I explained that they would all be beautiful in their different costumes. I LOVE HER! I can't wait to see what a beautiful Charlotte she makes:)

Elle is thrilled with her news of getting a baby sister for her birthday. She talks about it all the time! She can't wait to help and I know she will be a wonderful, loving big sister. I hope their birthdays are not on the same day, but they will be inevitably close since the due dates are exactly the same day. We have decided to name the baby Hannah Grace. I was thinking of calling her Hannah, but Elle keeps calling her Hannah Grace. It sounds so sweet coming out of her mouth that we might just have a double named child. Would it be weird to have Elle and Hannah Grace? They don't necessarily sound like they go together to me...we'll see.

I guess that's all for now...sorry I've been such a slacker blogger! No excuses...just reality!
