Summer vacation is in full swing and we haven't slowed down a bit! We've had a wonderful and very busy summer so far. We took Elle on a great adventure to Disney World a couple of weeks ago. It was awesome! Hot, but awesome! She had a blast. We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge which was very cool. We sat on our porch at night and watched the zebras play and the giraffes eat and the antelope and other animals wander about. It was surreal. The parks were great. Elle was such a trooper. She loved everything we did and didn't complain once! We were surrounded by families from all different walks of life and all different sides of the world. We encountered more than a few who were very stressed out and at odds with one another. It was a great reminder of how blessed we are in our marriage and with our sweet Elle! Her favorite part was meeting the princesses...so sweet. We had breakfast with the princesses in Norway at Epcot. We were greeted at the door by Belle for a professional photo (included with the breakfast), then Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, and Ariel each visited our table and talked to Elle, hugged her, and posed for a picture with her. She was in heaven! Of course her favorite princess is Aurora because she wears pink! All in all, we had a great trip! Elle's ready to go back now!
We came home from Disney and jumped right into Bible School. I was a story teller, which was great. It was a lot of work transforming the room each day and getting into a new role for each story. But it was well worth it when the kids could tell the stories back to me at the end of the week and ask extrememly relevant questions...really cool. Elle had a great time in her class, too! She just LOVES music and dancing, so Bible School is right up her alley. The first day, I was leading kids to their groups and I looked up and she was up front dancing and singing with the music leaders. I asked her about it later that day and she said, "I put on a show for the people." Hilarious. She's going to be quite the performer. If only she would have remembered how to do it Friday night at the program. They put her front and center for their group's performance and she jumped from platform to platform the entire time. I think she sang one line of the 3 songs they performed. Oh well! She was still cute:)
What's on the schedule for the rest of our summer?? We're heading to Fripp for a week or so for the 4th. Can't wait for that! Also, we're putting in a pool! They break ground on July 13 and say it will take 5-7 days...BIG SUMMER! I only wish it could be longer!!
