It's official...I'm no longer the young party seeker that I once was. Last night Josh and I watched the 11:00 news for a few minutes and saw footage from River Street. I said, "Hey, we could call a babysitter and head down to River Street! The party is just getting started there!" We both laughed out loud because we knew that River Street was the very LAST place either of us wanted to be last night. I felt pretty old as I reflected on St. Patrick's Days of years past when I couldn't wait to dress in green and hit the streets...I've only participated in the festivities on River Street 2 or 3 times, but I can say with full certainty that I will not participate in those festivities ever again! One of the shots that they got was a girl holding a beer in her mouth while she took a picture at the parade. I'm sure her Mama was proud that her little girl made the news! Thankfully those days are over:) "Oh well" we thought as we dragged ourselves to the bed for a very restful nights sleep in our quiet home where no one was wearing green. So from one geezer to another, Happy St. Patricks Day!

I fully expected to see you and Chad on the news. In fact, that's why we stayed up after 11:00 to watch footage of the festivities. We thought surely we'd see you and Chad dancing on the bar wearing green beads and striped tights;)
We were! I don't know how you missed Chad in his green tights!
