Happy Holidays

We had a WONDERFUL Christmas! I finally got everything I needed to get done DONE and was able to enjoy the special time with my family. We went to Calhoun for a long weekend before Christmas and enjoyed spending time with Josh's family, then came home and fell into Christmas. We went to the Christmas Eve service at church. Elle went to the front of the church for the children's message all by herself and was AMAZING. It probably had a lot to do with the fact that Amy was giving the message and Elle sat right in front of her. No matter the reason for her "big girl" behavior, I was so proud!! We then came home and commenced to hours of putting together toys and last minute wrapping. I'm not sure what time we went to bed, but Santa visited somewhere in between. Elle awoke to more than she had ever dreamed of...she had the best time. I wish we could get that reaction from her every day. While she was super pumped about all the gifts (and man I tell you there were plenty!), I think she was just as excited about the attention that was given to her and the smiles and happiness that everyone seemed to carry. It truly was an amazing Christmas. I have to brag on her a bit and say that out of the blue last night at supper she said, "But God is the best gift." I almost cried:) She's pretty special! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, too. I'm looking forward to an amazing 2009!
